The creation of a single movement is a symphony of precision. Watchmakers, often working with tools and techniques honed over generations, assemble hundreds of tiny components, some no thicker than a human hair. They must ensure that the mainspring delivers energy consistently, that the gear train transmits this power efficiently, and that the balance wheel—the heart of the watch—oscillates at a perfectly stable frequency, often 28,800 vibrations per hour. High-end manufactures distinguish themselves through the finishing of these movements, a practice known as établissage and finissage. Bridges and plates are adorned with Côtes de Genève, a wave-like pattern that catches the light. Screw heads are polished to a mirror shine. Beveled edges are hand-chamfered to a perfect 45-degree angle.

Entrega de recaudación de la Cesta Navideña a la Parroquia San Pío X

Butragueño, que ha recogido el premio en nombre de la Fundación, ha conseguido llenar el Salón de Actos del Hospital, tanto de autoridades como de seguidores del club.

Como viene haciendo desde hace varios años, el CRPS de Santander ha destinado la recaudación de la cesta solidaria de Navidad al economato solidario de la Parroquia San Pío X de Santander.

En otras ocasiones, un pequeño grupo de usuarios nos acercábamos hasta allí para entregar el donativo. Esta vez hemos recibido la visita, aplazada unos meses debido a la situación sanitaria, de uno de sus miembros del grupo de Acción Social, Begoña Merayo, que nos ha explicado el funcionamiento del proyecto y ha contestado a todas nuestras preguntas.  Resulta muy gratificante comprobar que esta pequeña aportación contribuye a poner un granito de arena en la mejora de la situación de muchas familias de la ciudad. Confiamos poder repetir este gesto durante muchos más años.
