The creation of a single movement is a symphony of precision. High-end manufactures distinguish themselves through the finishing of these movements, a practice known as établissage and finissage. Bridges and plates are adorned with Côtes de Genève, a wave-like pattern that catches the light. Screw heads are polished to a mirror shine. Beveled edges are hand-chamfered to a perfect 45-degree angle.

La Institución Hermanas Hospitalarias, Medalla Honorífica de la Universidad Europea del Atlántico

Las Hermanas Hospitalarias de Padre Menni en Santander han recibido esta mañana, en el transcurso del Acto de apertura del curso 2024-2025 de la Universidad Europea del Atlántico (UNEATLÁNTICO), la Medalla Honorífica de esta institución académica. Ha recibido el galardón, en nombre de todas ellas y del centro hospitalario, su Superiora, Natividad Urdín, en un acto repleto de autoridades, alumnos y miembros del Hospital santanderino.

Urdín se ha dirigido a los presentes para agradecer este reconocimiento, tanto a UNEATLÁNTICO como a FUNIBER, en nombre de todo el centro hospitalario y ha recordado que tanto la labor de las Hermanas como del centro se guía por la “unión de ciencia y caridad”, “una frase que utilizaba profusamente nuestro fundador, San Benito Menni”, recordó la Superiora.

Así mismo, añadió “es un reconocimiento a una labor por parte de una institución que conoce de primera mano por sus docentes en psicología, las enormes dificultades que conlleva una atención plena en unas personas con necesidades tan diversas y complejas”.

Laudatio

Previo a la entrega de la Medalla se llevó a cabo el Laudatio, a cargo del Dr. D. José Ignacio Quemada, Director de la Red Menni de Daño Cerebral de Hermanas Hospitalarias en España y Adjunto a la Dirección Médica del Centro Hospitalario Padre Menni. Él fue el encargado de poner en valor los motivos por los que la institución de las Hermanas es merecedora de este premio.
