Parece que este verano el sol no nos va a acompañar tanto como el pasado año, pero desde el CRPS de Santander se ha disfrutado dos estupendos días de ocio, picnic y playa en La Magdalena.

El, el día 13, compartimos la jornada con los compañeros de Torrelavega para visitar el Monasterio de Santo Toribio de Liébana, pasear por Potes y conocer el recién rehabilitado Seminario Mayor de Comillas. Unos días más tarde, nos desplazamos hasta Los Corrales de Buelna para nuestra ya tradicional barbacoa veraniega.

En cuanto a los encuentros con otros profesionales e instituciones, hemos tenido la ocasión de acercarnos hasta el Centro de Inserción Social José Hierro para conocer su proyecto de salud mental «Echando raíces», en el que internos con enfermedad mental participan en el cuidado de un huerto ecológico así como de los perros de la Asociación “Galgos y Podencos”.

Ya en nuestro centro, Julio, responsable de esta asociación, que rescata a galgos y podencos en situaciones de desamparo, nos ha visitado para ampliar nuestros conocimientos sobre esta asombrosa raza. Además, hemos recibido a Nacho Giner, bajo del grupo “Menos Lobos”, al Dr. Marcos López Hoyos, director de la investigación “Cohorte Cantabria” y a Román Martínez, secretario y entrenador del Campoo Rugby Club.
