High-end manufactures distinguish themselves through the finishing of these movements, a practice known as établissage and finissage. Bridges and plates are adorned with Côtes de Genève, a wave-like pattern that catches the light. Screw heads are polished to a mirror shine. Beveled edges are hand-chamfered to a perfect 45-degree angle.

Premio a la Mejor Publicación para un estudio de investigadoras del FIDMAG

La Fundación Familia Vila-Saborit y la Sociedad Catalana de Psiquiatría y Salud Mental han concedido el Premio a la Mejor Publicación 2019 al trabajo: “Autobiographical memory and default mode network function in schizophrenia: an fMRI study” (“Memoria autobiográfica y la Red Neuronal por Defecto en esquizofrenia: un estudio fMRI”).

El estudio ha sido desarrollado por las investigadoras del FIDMAG, Marta Martín-Subero y Paola Fuentes-Claramonte, entre otras, con el fin de profundizar en el análisis de los correlatos funcionales de la memoria autobiográfica en esquizofrenia, al ser una de las pocas tareas cognitivas que activan o desactivan la Red Neuronal por Defecto (RND), tras los hallazgos que apuntan hacia la disfuncionalidad de dicha red en pacientes con este trastorno.

Según las conclusiones del estudio, en los pacientes con esquizofrenia la activación de la RND y otras regiones asociadas con la memoria autobiográfica se mantenía intacta, mientras que se encontraron fallos de desactivación fuera de la RND, lo que sugiere que esta patología podría estar más bien asociada con una dificultad general en la desactivación neuronal más que en un mal funcionamiento de la RND.

Uno interesantes hallazgos que han merecido ser presentados desde la Fundación FIDMAG a los premios de la Sociedad Catalana de Psiquiatría y la citada fundación, cuyo jurado así lo ha confirmado al considerarlos la mejor publicación de 2019.
